Paddling near the source of the South Tyne. This spate section is small and narrow, containing several gorges and is quite continuous in nature.
Drive up the Tyne head road from Garrigill, until you reach a gated track. Walk down to the river here. Get out at the bridge in Garrigill or combine with the section to Alston.
