A long and consistent class 2+ run. This is a good adventurous day out, with lots of playful rapids, a few man-made weirs (mostly runnable), and many blind bends and tree hazards to keep you on your toes.
Can run for up to a week after prolonged heavy rain.
Putin at the smaller bridge just upstream of the main A544 bridge at Llanfair Talhaiarn. The bridge at Bont-newydd makes a convenient takeout. It should be possible to shorten the section by taking out earlier at one of the river's many road-bridges. Alternatively, continue all the way to St. Asaph for a cracking distance paddle with consistent interest most of the way.
