Lovely run with plenty of interest at the grade. One cheeky hole in particular has been known to catch a few people unawares. A weir about 1/2 way down is runnable, but worth keeping an eye out for as can be retentive at bigger levels.
In very low levels, it's possible to paddle just the gorge section down to the Rawthey by putting on at Danny Bridge - this is down the narrow single track road by the viewpoint off the A684.
If driving upstream from the takeout in Sedbergh, put in at the first bridge the A684 crosses the river. The takeout if about 1km after the confluence with the Rawthey, on river right just below the A684 bridge just east of Sedbergh.
